Take a long deep breath. Now hold it. What good is it doing? Not a whole lot, in fact it could be harmful after a while. Our breathing pattern as humans is a constant in and out. We take in oxygen, and breath out a mixture of carbon and oxygen.
The Bible is described as the word of God, and says “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,” (2 Timothy 3:16 NIV)
If all we did was spend time in the word without acting upon it or teaching others it would be like only inhaling your whole life.
This blog is my attempt to exhale. I have had a hunger to dig deep into the scriptures and with all this study I’ve found a need to write down some thoughts that the Spirit has laid upon my heart.

“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” (James 1:22-25 NLT)
I must admit to you though, the main reason I write this blog is for selfish ambitions. Each post is a sermon to myself. I need to learn these truths just as much, if not more, than anyone of you out there. I once heard that the best way to learn is to teach, I want to learn therefore I shall teach.
So, am I qualified to write this stuff? Maybe, probably not, depends on what you think qualifies me. However I need to know it, so I study it, and from the over abundance of the word in my spirit I pour it out again in my blog.
So read it, or don’t. Love it, or hate it. It matters little to me what you think of my site and my blog. I sure do hope that it only helps everyone that reads, however, your personal opinion of my writing style and my subject matter are just that, your personal opinion.
The word of God is living and active to me. It is absolute truth, and it’s words cut deep, even to the division of soul and spirit. So I cannot help but to echo it’s power to the world and praise him for what He has done in my life.
